SAP Ariba is the world's business commerce network. We help companies extend their business commerce processes into the Cloud, where they can use our Procurement solutions and the Ariba Network to find opportunities to cut costs, reduce risk, and grow revenue through better collaboration with trading partners. The Program Manager will help shape the solution from the Requirement phase through to go-live by providing leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time and project quality criteria. The Program Manager also ensures adherence to defined Product life cycle management practices, provides Program Management mentoring, performs Gate Reviews and reinforces the enterprise knowledge management through the communication of lessons learned and best practices development.


  • Drive the planning and execution of releases from concept to GA. Understand and assess critical paths and dependencies for developing and shipping products and facilitate discussions between delivery team of Product Managers, Engineering, QE and other functional teams throughout all the release phases.
  • Build and run, with the team, the release/Sprint master plan (schedule, dependencies, risks, etc.). Use your technical background and product knowledge to proactively identify risks, issues and drive their resolution
  • Be the expert on release life cycle processes and champion process best practices, metrics and high-quality standards with your delivery team
  • Independently and accurately report on the state of your release to executive stakeholders. Be the trusted speaker on the state of release in key checkpoint reviews.
  • Make constant assessment of feature pipeline, work done and work quality to support decision making on release delivery schedule
  • Take release deliverables live after driving legal, security, compliance, and other launch activities.
  • Assist teams in establishing clear commitments to stakeholders and help hold the teams accountable for meeting these commitments.
  • Drive other horizontal initiative related to development process improvisation and any project management tools adoption


  • Mastered Agile methods and practices through multiple teams (Scrum and Kanban). Certification in PMP/Scrum Master preferred.
  • Strong practical and advanced theoretical understanding of managing the life cycle of large-scale programs and projects in Product organizations.
  • Highly flexible, and able to change course quickly. Effectively juggle between multiple activities and priorities at same time
  • Evidenced ability to build support for ideas; credible enough in the role to influence highly intelligent and highly technical team members.
  • Experience modifying and/or defining processes rather than applying what exists today.
  • Self-driven and with a general interest in new things.


  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and 7 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master s degree and 5 years of experience.
  • Experience must involve at least 5 years in project management methodologies. Experience must include Waterfall, Agile (Scrum), and Six Sigma
  • Experience must involve at least 5 years of Project management tools used for Planning, Execution, Tracking, and Reporting, including Aha, Jira, and Business Objects.
  • Experience must include Java, node.js, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Experience must involve at least 5 years developing and testing Cloud technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
