JOB SUMMARY
At Houston Methodist, the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer is responsible for transforming direction and input from an RPA Solution Architect into solutions. This includes analyzing, documenting, implementing, testing, and maintaining the solutions. Analyzing includes understanding the business logic and re-engineering the process during implementation. Testing includes writing and executing test scripts, while keeping test logs. Maintaining the solutions includes checklists for production and implementing changes to coincide with systems of record. Also provides change management support for stakeholders.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

PEOPLE - 25 %
1. In partnership with RPA Solution Architect, delivers process automation to the enterprise. (EF)
2. Provides ticket resolution support during hyper care and stabilization phase.

SERVICE - 20 %
1. Implements automated solutions in accordance with standards and program methodology.
2. Co-authors and maintains solution design documentation.
3. Supports release of automation processes to production. (EF)

QUALITY/SAFETY - 35 %
1. Identifies and communicates to the RPA Solution Architect and RPA Lead risks associated with process automation candidates. (EF)
2. Performs tests and code reviews on each section of the automated process. (EF)
3. Analyzes and resolves automation software issues as needed. (EF)

FINANCE - 10 %
1. Develops efficient, well-structured and scalable automation solutions. (EF)
2. Manages time effectively to meet established and committed deadlines. (EF)

GROWTH/INNOVATION - 10 %
1. Pursues knowledge of new technologies and methodologies that improve productivity, workflow, production, efficiency, and effectiveness (EF).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
o Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
o 5 years experience developing Java applications
o 5 years experience developing N-Tier applications
o 6 months implementing WorkFusion automation solutions
o 5 years experience with database systems such as SQL Server and Oracle
o Healthcare industry experience preferred
o Experience in projects that use Agile methodologies

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
o Java certification(s) preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
o Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
o Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.
o Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
o Ability to organize workload for effective implementation of multiple concurrent projects.
o Motivated self-starter with initiative.
o Intermediate level SQL skills with some reverse engineering preferred.
o Experience with software modeling tools like MS Visio preferred.
o Ability to think analytically with strong problem-solving skills.
o Ability to understand business logic and processes.
o Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
